Description: | |
This is a swap for anyone who thinks it'd be neat to share/receive a bit of sand from a different place in the US. All sand is wildly different, from color to the geological make-up. Sand can vary from cove to cove, desert to desert, and coast to coast! It can be very fine, or quite coarse. I think it's all fascinating. If you have a microscope, you can look at the sand and see the variance in colors, rocks, glass, even tiny shell bits that make up the sand. Or you can just feel it and daydream about the place it came from. For this swap, you will collect a small amount (a small vial or baggie) of sand from your local beach, desert, body of water, etc. - or if you have sand you've collected in your travels, you are welcome to share that as well! Make sure it's sealed up well so it doesn't leak in transport, and that it's dry. Include a note or postcard to describe where the sand is from (or even a picture from where you got it!), and any thoughts you might have on it. No store bought or craft sand allowed in this swap, it must be sand collected from its natural environment! This swap is US only; though I'd love to do an international swap at some point, customs can be strict on such things (private swaps welcome). Minimum rating must be 4.95, and no unrated users will be allowed. I can angel if need be. |
