Time to stretch our creative muscles! In honor of NaNoWriMo(which I'm not doing this year, but wish I was!) I'm going to give out a challenge for the writers. You can use your own characters (if so, it might be kind to send a list of who they are/brief bio) or characters from a fandom you enjoy(TV show/movie/book/anime/comic/etc) but you must follow the prompt. This may be a recurring swap, with a new prompt every time if people enjoy it. So, your prompt is: Your characters have a holiday celebration coming up. But the day before the holiday(Christmas, Thanksgiving, Solstice, any holiday.) they realize the did not do their prep shopping and so have to go to WalMart(or if you don't have Walmart in your area, substitute any large, chaotic store. Emphasis on the CHAOTIC) with a long list and brave the hoards of similarly frantic shoppers. This is for any character group. If your work isn't in the modern era, well make a reason they got stuck here. And have fun. Because you don't have to tailor this to your partner, you can start writing as soon as you sign up. I'm giving lots of time to wt the writing done. Good luck! |
