Description:

This is a swap using the fabulous doll stamps by Julie Nutting. They are large stamps and run from about 6" to 7 1/2" tall.

If you don't know what they are just do a Google search and you can find them. All sorts of places sell the stamps and cards and embellishments to go with them!

For this swap you will make a tag for each of two swap partners. Each month we will have a different theme. This months theme is:

Christmas! (NOT winter holidays, that comes next!)

Use your imagination. It can be anything that brings to mind to YOU what Christmas is all about! Let me just say this, this is sender's choice. If you don't like religion, don't like this or that, don't sign up for this swap. The theme is Christmas, whatever it means to the sender. This is not religious, not political, etc. Just good feelings for Christmas. Make something you would love to receive yourself.

You will need to have at least 5 different embellishments including the background. you can use stamps, paper, paint, colored pencils, pens, nice stickers, flowers, etc. The doll must also be well decorated, whether that be painted, colored or paper pieced. Feel free to add more if you like! There are SO many possibilities with this holiday

You will have two partners. This IS sender's choice, so even if you don't care for what you got, if it meets the criteria, you need to give a 5 rating. You CAN look at your swap partners' profiles and see likes or dislikes. At the same time, if it does NOT meet the criteria, rate a 3. If someone uses a print out instead of an actual stamped image, it's an automatic 3. If there are not at least 5 different embellishments, again it's a 3. Two different kinds of flowers counts as 2 different embellishments, etc.

You don't have to wait for partners as this is senders choice!

You must not have any unresolved 1's. No recent 3's, without an explanation.Flakers will be banned from any future swaps. I WILL angel if need be, but let's make this fun and everyone send on time. If you don't think you can follow the criteria or send, then don't sign up.

I WILL be checking profiles. If you have been in previous swaps I've hosted and failed to rate, I will ban you for that too if it is not resolved by the time partners are selected. Rating is just about as important as sending. I want this to be fun, and rewarding.

(Image is not my work, just shown as an example of the doll stamp and what you can do with it)

happy swapping!

P.S., I recently did a private swap with someone who could not get the stamps herself. I stamped cardstock paper with my doll stamps and sent and she sent something else in return. If you don't have the stamps, try a private swap. I'm available, as I'm sure are others. Then you can join these awesome swaps!

Oh I wish! No, just a great example of what you can do. I'm in Christmas overload with stuff, paper, embellishments, etc. This is my favorite! Along with the winter holiday one. And then yes everyone, next is New Years after winter, then Valentine's Day, groundhogs day (maybe! haha) Spring, Easter, and on and on.
