Description:

This swap is for all you who love the pricey yarn (Malabrigo, Lorna Laces, Art yarns etc) You know who you are.

This is NOT a swap for red heart and caron or anything you can find at joanns and michaels. You need a LYS or online supplier.

You are swapping one full skien (caked or hank) with your partner. You can put your request in comments section but it's senders choice.

Because of the cost of the yarn, this needs to be sent priority w. tracking.

Ok lets keep this 100g and $25-$30 max That should give lots of choices. If you are sending 2 hanks please try to get the same lot number

For now, USA only

one skien, one partner... lots of fun. sign up by 1/4/14, mail by 1/11/14

Can you suggest a weight (100g hank?) and price range? I live near the yarn.com store, and the prices can vary widely. Thanks!

FWIW- my favorite color is green and i dont like fingering or sock weight yarn. I'm a crocheter.

Ok, I'm signing up because yarn shopping is one of my favorite activities, and I've been looking for an excuse to visit either WEBS (the storefront of yarn.com) or The Creative Needle (a yarn store one town over). I like any yarn worsted or finer, any fiber, and for this swap, jewel tones or fall colors. (I have enough purple yarn for now!)

Sorry, but I'm going to have to drop. The oil company just discovered a problem with our fill pipe and suddenly $20 for a skein of yarn seems a bit extravagant. :( Have fun!

Hi!! I'm pretty excited for this yarn swap. Lately, I've been most intensely interested in fingering weight yarn because I'm on a sock knitting kick, but I DO already have tons of it. Don't let that deter you, though. I think I have enough lace weight yarn, but any other weight is fine and will make me happy. I prefer wool or wool blended with nylon (for sock yarn), silk, alpaca, mohair, cashmere, or angora. As for color, I don't like pink and prefer color combinations that are closely shaded and subtle, like blues and purples, or reds and oranges, or greens and brown, as opposed to wild mixtures like yellow, green, turquoise, and red all together. I like groupings of color families much better than contrast. I generally like bold colors instead of pastels.
