Tutorial

I have yet to see a quilt made with these blocks that did not come out. I love how the scrappy effect makes the quilt.

So I am proposing a swap of 6,5" unfinished scrappy string block using musslin method as used in the above tutorial. ATTENTION the tutorial uses a different size!! We will be trimming the blocks to 6,5" unfinished. 2 partners each 4 blocks makes for 8 blocks is total. As this is senders choice one can start sewing straight away.

Strips are a max. width of 2" (preferably variation of widths) Fabric used once per block (see profile pic).

I will angel this swap, but please let your partner (and me) know if there are any hickups. Communication is key!

The description says 6, 5" unfinished blocks, and then says 2 partners 4 blocks each, for a total of 8, so are we to make 6 or 8?

the size of the block is 6,5 inch. We will be making a total of 8 blocks, so each partner gets 4 blocks. Hope this clarifies

That helps, Thanks.

I LOVE these string blocks, and find that if I start with a 15" foundation, make the larger size block and trim the finished block to 13", it makes four distinct 6.5" blocks--easy peasy, as long as you have the long strings for the centers! Two large blocks can be done in no time!

If making the larger blocks, you can switch the small ones around to send out all different fabrics in the blocks to your two partners.

sorry I have to drop from the swap, I thought I had museline, but I don't :-(
