Description:

I just copied and pasted the description that SMBEE had up.

This swap is for those who believe it truly is better to give than to receive. We will be sending a little bit of love to the men and women in uniform overseas.

This will be international and open to newbies. This swap is also open to anybody who has never done this before and to people who have. If you have done this before please post below if you are willing to answer questions from people who haven’t.

Send a care packages to the soldier of your choice (either US military or any other country, but the links I know about are US only so I will probably be of little help in finding non-US soldiers). The US military does not deliver packages posted to “Any Soldier? you must have a name on the package for it to get delivered. There are many great sites out there. I will be using www.anysoldier.com Please be sure to read the FAQ and how to send help sections on the site before mailing out. We want to make sure our packages get there OK. The cost to mailing to the US military is the same as domestic mailing, so you can use a one rate box to send. There is some more info on that in this forum

What you send is up to you, but please be sure that is something that will be appreciated by the recipients. There are suggestions of what to send on the site listed above and each soldier has listed requests of what they/their unit would like to receive. There is even a search function where you can type in words and find matches. For example I typed in “craft? and found a soldier who was trying to open a craft center for other soldiers during their down time and was trying to collect supplies. I also typed in “dog? and found K-9 handlers who would like treats for their dogs.

After sending your package to your soldier, email a picture/description to your partner of what you sent. You can also write more about why you chose to do this swap, or why you sent what you did. We will rate when we receive the email from our partner.

Any questions please PM me. Thanks!

If anyone from the UK signs up either go to Support Our Soldiers and they will send on your behalf.

Yeah I am glad I found this one...can't wait to start getting my package ready. I was sad that I missed SMBEE's swap so thank you for starting another one. This swap means the world to me since my husband is being deployed here shortly and I know how much these packages mean to the men and women overseas! thanks

Ok, I got out of control when I saw this swap. I went out last night and picked up a bunch of goodies as well as personal hygene products. I'm ready! I checked out the website and I've already gotten a couple contact addys to send letters of support to! This is great and I'm so glad to have found this swap and anysoldier.com!
