Yipee. Sticker swapping time! This is a Type 2 swap for USA residents only. Type 1- Electronic Type 2- Flat mail *** Type 3- Crafts & Packages The more you start to join swaps, the more you will notice that most groups will have a well filled out profile as a requirement and some will state that you must have 10 type 2 swaps completed and rated before you can join the swap. Now is the time to receive a type 2 rating and get started. This WILL be a profile based swap. DO NOT join if you are unwilling to purchase $3 worth of your swap partners favorite type of stickers. Target and Walmart's are all over. They have a fantastic selection of stickers that are $1. You can always use coupons at Michaels and Hobby Lobby type of stores to get even better deals. For this swap you MUST have a well filled out profile as your partner will purchase something special just for you. Make sure your profile includes favorite colors, holidays, maybe the style stickers you like to receive. Variety and info is key in your profile. If you have questions about what should be in your profile-please go to the Planning Corner forum and click the link in discussions. I would like you to make, recycle, or purchase a cheap inexpensive card with envelope that will hold the stickers. It will help keep the stickers from becoming bent. Since the swap is NOT about a card, you will not rate poorly based upon wether you do or do not like the card. The card is ONLY to keep your stickers safe. You can use a card someone gave to you. Glue a sheet over paper over the inside of the cards writing, great way to recycle. Just make sure you have an envelope. The dollar store has a large selection of inexpensive cards. When I first started swaps with military friends we bought large packages of cards so we had plenty on hand for this purpose. You can use new legal size envelopes. Just make sure you use card stock paper or thick paper and make a card to protect the stickers. By making a card, you take a sheet of paper, fold it to fit the stickers in the envelope. That's it. I am giving you many ideas just to be sure all new people understand there are plenty of ways to send stickers safely. Taking extra care at the beginning of the swap means you will not get a low rating, nor will you resend things to make sure your partner is happy. I ALWAYS take photos of what I sent and what the completed swap looks like before it is sent off. I save the photos to an email folder that I have labeled swapbot. Onto the swap: For this swap you will send NEW stickers. No old, bent, or yellowed stickers. I would like to see everyone purchase $3 of new stickers. NO REWARD/Teacher style stickers for this swap please. No dollar store stickers. Cut the NEW sticker packaging in half (without damaging stickers) if you need it to fit into the envelope. You have a large window of time to purchase and send some quality stickers for this swap. In your card please put your SWAPBOT name and the name of the swap. It would look like this: NEW $3 sticker swap in a card from WPREGEL Once you send your swap, go to the top right corner of swapbot. click dashboard, there you will see CURRENT< SENT< ARCHIVED<WATCHLIST. You will click the title of the NEW $3 sticker swap in a card, and in the top right corner of the screen you will see a yellow box. This is where you will let me know you sent your swap. you will also rate your partner and myself for hosting the swap in that box once you receive your swap. Question, comments, thoughts? Please share. Happy swapping! |
