Hello everyone, This is the same swap as the one JasNemi has posted but for those in the USA since the postage can be a bit much for some of us to do it international. By now we can start to see an end to winter even if the weather still hasn't relented and spring is peering out from around the corner. One of the surest signs of spring and ubiquitous in many traditions is eggs. So for this swap you will be decorating an egg in a spring-y manner and stuffing it with goodies for your partner. You will have one partner and this is an international swap. It should be possible to make the egg and stuff it with things that doesn't make it too heavy to make it cost prohibitive to ship. You can either buy a cardboard or plastic egg to decorate or make your own with a small balloon and paper maché or something like that. The size should be about 10 cm (4 inches) minimum lengthwise. Decoration could be decoupage, painting, covering it with fabric, glitter, glued on embellishments and so on. There's quite a lot of inspiration out there on the wide internet, so go looking for something you like. The sky's the limit! For the egg in the picture, which was made by the lovely LadyBathory, here is a tutorial: Dragon's egg The filling could be chocolate, tea, seeds for plants you think belongs in a witch' garden/window sill, spells and rituals, bunnies, butterflies, recipes. Check your partners profile for ideas and make sure you send something they will love. Make sure you put in at least 5 items, preferably different items to shake it up a bit. So to recap: Buy or make an egg about 10 cm (4 inches) long at least. Decorate it and fill it with at least 5 items your partner will like. |
