Spirit Dolls

Spirit dolls are messenger dolls giving the recipient inner guidance. The dolls may or may not have a face, or have arms or legs. They may be a body but not without some sort of spirit. You may want to do a search to see some examples of other spirit dolls for inspiration. In this swap, you will create 1 spirit doll for 1 trade partner. Your spirit doll can be made of fabric, clay, paper or fiber combinations or any other content. Your doll may be sewn or it can even be strips of fabric wrapped on twigs to form the bodies. What ever you do, make her creative and put some thought into it. Add embellishments such as charms, trinkets and beads or even add paint to her. You may even wish to see your partner's profile for clues although the design will be ultimately up to the creator. Size will be up to you, but don't make them less than 4 inches tall. Add a cord or loop so that your trade partner can hang it. Give some detail about your spirit doll... what is she a spirit of? magic, beauty, inspiration, imagination, dreams, fertility, or ?????
