This is my favorite kind of swap. Fun and easy to do, awesome to receive.

You will have 1 partner and will send your partner a nice package containing several things they will like, as seen in their profile. Simple enough.

I don't want to put a dollar value on the swap, because frequently I find awesome things at garage sales or thrift stores. And some people like to be very generous, and why discourage that? But we all should know what a GOOD, THOUGHTFUL package is like so please make a good effort to send one.

Please make sure you have a completely filled out profile with lots of options for your partner to choose from. I am also going to be rather strict on who is allowed in the swap because I don't want ANY disappointments. If there is anything questionable on your profile, please contact me before joining.

(To be fair -- I have one 1, for a handmade item swap back in Dec. Said item I did handmake and mail to Singapore, on time, and I have photos of the item I made and mailed in my flickr. Then I broke my wrist in Feb so handmaking items has been pretty much impossible this whole year. That 1 bugs me, but I am still in physical therapy right now. If the 1 bugs you, I understand, but then don't join.)

i know there's no dollar amount, but as for quantity of stuff, should we be thinking mini, midi or mega?? i just don't want my partner to feel stooged by me :S

lovelygangster, I am sorry I did not see your question before. I would say midi is a good start and if you want to go mega please feel free!

My package arrived and it was a square priority box, medium sized. It contained a couple small sheets of scrapbooking patterned paper in yellow, one of my fave colors, 2 of the Le Plume markers I use for stamping in shades of green, a small Bath & Body Works room spray in my favorite kind of scent, a small bottle of bath gel also in a favorite type of scent, a glass jar scented candle ALSO in a favorite type of scent, a small book on spirituality, a good size piece of cross stitch fabric in evenweave, a large dark chocolate bar filled with nuts and dried fruit, a blank journal with an owl cover, a pair of blue and green chenille slipper socks, and I can't recall what else. There was a lot of thoughtfulness.

I, on the other hand, used a medium sized padded envelope. I have swapped with my partner before and I know what she likes. I included an owl notebook, a large stack of a variety of notecards, most in her favorite colors, a magnetic notepad, an owl pewter charm, a new puzzle book, I can't recall whatelse from stationery... it was a little over $6.00 US to mail to a US recipient so it was not a light envelope. But it was also not a box.
