Quilter's book swap Minimum rating 4.98, no unexplained 1's or 3's, at least 5 previous type 3 swaps. This is a swap for used paperback quilting books. We all have them, books we bought and never looked at, books we finished with, books that were gifts. For this swap you will have 1 partner and you will send one used book from your stash. It is sender's choice, but you can check your partner's profile. Publishers include (but not limited to) C&T Publishing, Storey Books, That Patchwork Place, AQS, Kansas City Star. The book can cover any topic, traditional patterns, modern quilting, vintage, strip piecing, applique, jelly rolls, machine quilting, etc. The book should be:
If you are not sure if your book qualifies, please PM and we'll figure it out. I'm sorry, but due to postage rates this is a US only swap and I will be checking addresses. How to send Media Mail (aka book rate). Put your book in a padded envelope with nothing else. If you want to include a note it must be well hidden in the pages. Media rate does not allow any letters or invoices included with the book. Do not seal the envelope, take it to the PO and show the clerk it is a book and ask for the media rate. (Of course, you're not required to use Media Mail) Media mail can take a few weeks to arrive, but this time of year there should be no backlog for packages, so I do not expect many people will wait too long. If you receive a book and it is clean and meets requirements you will rate a 5. It is sender's choice, so you cannot rate down if it is not your preferred quilting style. (But I sincerely hope everyone will like getting something "new") If you have questions, please PM me. I'd rather answer questions up front than have problems later. |
