This is for Round 3 of our traveling journal. If you are just now joining us: This one is fairly simple. Make or buy a journal. Size doesn't really matter, but remember the cost of postage! On the front page, put your name and address with the instructions "Please send this journal back to me when it is full" (or words to that effect). Draw, paint, color, write, doodle, zentangle, paste, whatever. Just do "something" (anything) on 2 pages, then send it on to your partner. If you received a journal in the last round: Draw, paint, color, write, doodle, zentangle, paste, whatever. Just do "something" (anything) on 2 pages, then send it on to your partner. There will be 10 rounds all together. After 10 rounds, please send the journal home, whether it is full or not. If everything goes okay, we can start Round 11 with the same journal or a new one. So.... Fill out 2 pages in a journal. Send the journal to your partner. That's it. Now, for the boring part.... Must have at least 20 Type 3 swaps completed. Must have a rating of at least 4.9 with no 1s or 3s within the last 6 months. Have fun!! It seems a lot of people are only doing one page in the journals. I am going to allow it for the first few rounds, since we are just getting started. Going forward from here, I'd really like everyone to do 2 pages. If you only want to do one art page, you can use the other page to tell your partner a little about yourself or the place you live; Copy the lyrics to your favorite song or poem; Write something; Take a picture and glue it in; Whatever. Please rate a 5 in Round 2 if you received a journal that has at least one page worked in, especially if the person has obviously put some effort into it. (If the page appears to have been put together in 30 seconds by an 8 year old, however, use your own judgment on that one). However, starting with this round (Round 3), please do 2 pages. Thank you so much! By 2 pages, I mean this: Imagine each page of a book as being numbered. Page 1 and 2 would be 2 pages. So, either the front and back of one piece of paper, or the fronts of two different pieces of paper. I hope this clarifies it. |
