I created this swap for my group Carpe Librum today, but since it's a fun, quick and easy swap, I thought I'd go ahead and host a public newbie friendly one.

This is bookish survey I found today at Perpetual Page Turner, and thought it would make a good Type 1 swap. You can send your answers one of 3 ways ~ through email, Swap-Bot messages, or put it on a blog sending your partner a link to it.

Swap Requirements ~ minimum 4.85 rating. Newbies welcome who have BOTH a well filled out profile AND are a member of Newbie Helpers. I reserve the right to ban anyone for any reason. Any swapper listed in Questionable Swapper threads will not be allowed in. I'll angel any flaked swaps, though I will do everything I can to keep questionable swappers out of it.

That should be ok @Swan depending on what they are. Just do something close to it, or related to it, so you still have 26 answers.

Awesome that you know her @likeWHOAAemmy ! I came across it through some other pages I visit on my Bloglovin' feed. They had done it and linked it back to the original. I thought it would be a great swap. I hope everyone has fun!

I'd forgotten how people do the bare minimum in Type 1 swaps. I was hoping to get some good book recommendations, but no one is really talking about the books. Just listing the title and author. ^sigh^

@savannahjan well, not everyone, but I see what you mean. I want swap descriptions to say that you actually have to talk about the books and otherwise the partners will be obligated to rate a 3. I bet people who don't care about the swap and just want to finish it fast won't join.

I'm sorry you were unsatisfied @savannahjan & @nyanSan . I didn't put anything like that with these because not everyone likes to answer so many questions and then give details. I sure do, but not everyone does.

@ImzadiRose Well, I agree with you. But on the other hand I also disagree. There are 2 points I disagree with you on:

1) If the description said that the answers should be detailed from the start, people who don't like it wouldn't have joined. So no one joins if they don't like longer answers. 2) I think that online sways are being greatly underestimated because of this logic you use in your answer. Imagine that someone would join a mail art "decorate your envelope" swap and then send a white envelope with 2 stickers on it... for me it is the same for online swaps. If someone doesn't put the time into the swap I just feel that I wasted my own time writing a lot and making my partner know more about the book, more about my world and my opinions.

But well, at the end of the day it's your swap and you had a great idea to do it. I appreciate it :).
