Description: | |
It's almost the 21 of June, the planet is almost at full tilt, so let's think about ... water. It covers three-fourths of the Earth's surface and it is a precious resource. These coming few weeks, I challenge you to learn something about: 1) water as a molecule 2) water as a resource for humans (directly, or indirectly, as in, fish live in water, humans eat fish) 3) water resource conservation (ie, What are some people doing to protect the oceans, lakes, rivers, or underground aquifers? What can you and/ or your family do to support water resource preservation/ protection/ conservation?) Google or the news on the radio, TV, or in the newspaper is fine, visits to library or calls to limnologists deserve extra credit! No need to be brilliant, just have the desire to learn something. Research may be shared with someone else in your life -- makes it more fun :) Once you have gathered your new knowledge (or added to your previous knowledge), take a few minutes to think and to appreciate. Talk it over with your kids, your cat, a neighbor, the barista at the local coffee shop, the guy at the hardware store, your Zumba instructor, etc. Then send off a few paragraphs and a doodle, diagram, photo, clipping, link to an audio clip, or something to touch/feel to your partner, with the solstice/ water theme. That's it! No long letters, enclosures or anything else required -- just your thinking, inquiring mind, some words and one sensory experience that goes along with the theme. Please have at least a well filled out profile and be willing to answer my PM's if you are a complete newbie. Others should have relatively decent ratings (ie, no recent 1's or a string of 3's). PM me if you have any questions or prefer a 1:1 swap. And, as always, I angel my swaps. |
