Description:

The August 2014 Fandom in a Bag swap is Doctor Who.

Step 1: Please list in the comments your favorite characters, doctors, baddies, companions, shows, episodes, moments, or any other preference you may have.

Step 2: After partners are assigned, check to see what your partner likes. You can follow-up with a message if you need to know more. Then scrounge up, buy, and/or create items that fit in a bag. Your bag must contain at least 7 different items although more is certainly encouraged (PLEASE try to make it look full).

Some ideas of themed items: stickers, ATCs, postcards, toys/action figures, comics, note cards, pins/buttons, magnets, jewelry, trading cards, charms, ornaments, books, bookmarks, address labels, postcards, plushies/stuffies, promo stills/autograph cards, fainfic, zines, etc.

More specific ideas: time travel survival kit, mini TARDIS, prop replicas, homemade guide to the Whoverse, Gallifreyan calendar, 50th anniversary swag, scarf or bowtie, etc.

Be sure to check your partner's profile so you don't send anything he or she might be allergic to.

Step 3: Put the items in a ziplock-type bag. Size: 1 gallon (measures AT LEAST 10 inches by 11 inches or 28cm by 26.5 cm). You can decorate the bag or incorporate the bag into something (mount it or sew something around it). If you want to make or buy a bag instead of using a ziplock plastic one, that's fine as well, but it should be at least a gallon in size. All items you gather or create should fit into the bag (if a couple are too big, that's fine).

Assemble your bags during the month of August and please send by the deadline (August 31).

Group rating rules apply. NO FLAKING ALLOWED! Flakers will be parked in front of a weeping angel.

My favorite doctor- Ten. My favorite companion- Captain Jack Harkness (with Rose, Donna, K-9, and Rory tied for second place). I love the TARDIS. I love the whoverse as a whole.

My #1 wish is for anything I can put in my Doctor Who-themed bathroom. Art for the walls (handmade art or printouts in cheap dollar store frames). A modified/artistic clock with a DW theme (doesn't have to be a working clock) as I'm filling one wall of the bathroom with clocks. I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THESE SORTS OF HAND TOWELS or a bathmat. I already have an AMAZING handmade soap dish & a soap dispensor.

Apart from that, I never say no to anything soft and squishie like a TARDIS pillow. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE to find out what it is that YOU like most about a fandom. Your favorite fanfic recs, a journal of your favorite quotes or episodes, an ATC of your favorite doctor, companion, baddie, episode, etc. Share your passion for DW with me :-)

I already have a kickass journal of impossible things and Ten's sonic screwdriver. And I already have the 50th anniversary postal stamps from the UK and a travel mug of the Eighth doctor.

OMG I've been very impatiently awaiting this one!!!!!

I started with Ten and loved both 9 & 10, but Matt is my FAVORITE!!!!! I love the quirkiness but still the maturity that comes through in him. I have a lot of favorites when it comes to actual episodes; some are: I <3 <3 Vincent and the Doctor, Blink, The End of Time (1&2), The Time of Angels, and lots more. Message me if you want to know more of them. :)

For the companions, I'd say my favorites are Rose, Jack Harkness, River and Amy & Rory. (I can't stand Clara) Love the weeping angels and the daleks.

I absolutely love plushies; I have a 10 and 11 and an adipose already, but if someone wanted to make me Rose or Capt Jack, I'd be so happy!!!!! (Plus, I make squishy stuff, so if I get you Kate, you can guarantee a Tardis!!) I already have the sonics for 10 & 11 and the victorian looking one, but don't have the Master's Screwdriver. I also have the Journal of Impossible Things with the Master's Ring :)

I love homemade stuff, and I'll be happy with whatever is sent. Just please don't send me clothing as I can't wear most of what is made for Dr Who......nothing is big enough :(

Can't wait for this one!!!!!

My favourite Doctors are Eight, Twelve, Ten and Nine. Please nothing Eleven themed (sorry!). My favourite companions are probably Rose, Jack, River and Astrid, the TARDIS in any form, but especially Idris. Not Donna or Amy please, not decided on Clara yet.

The MisterMaster is my very favourite bad guy, I would have voted Saxon given the chance. I love the weeping angels, the clockwork guys from the madam du pompadour episode and the Venetian vampires.

Blink is my favourite episode, the library episodes being a close second. I'm a huge fan of the big finish audiobooks but I haven't gotten to listen to many of them :(

I can write in Gallifreyan. I have the sonic and laser screwdrivers plus the pocket watch but I don't have much else.

I love Doctor Nine, Ten, and Eleven...but the Tenth doctor is my absolute favorite. My favorite companions are Amy, Rory, Rose, Jack, and River Song. (I absolutely adore River and her sayings of "hello sweetie" and "spoilers.") I love Ten's catchphrase of Allons-y and pretty much anything he says, especially his sarcastic remarks.

I really don't have anything Doctor Who, so I will pretty much appreciate any kind of thing! :)

My Doctor will always be Ten. I do also love the Eighth doctor. My favorite companions are Donna, Martha, Jack, River Song, and Rory and Amy. Favorite Master is John Simm. I love Tom Baker's scarf (I knitted one myself this year). Favorite little creatures: Weeping Angels, Adipose. Favorite gadgets: timey wimey devices that goes ding! Favorite episodes: EOT, Blink, Midnight, Day of the Doctor, Night of the Doctor. I collect TARDIS. And sonic screwdrivers. I have earrings and a lovely collection of t-shirts. I am pretty much a nerd!

My favourite Doctor has to be 11 but I love 9 as well. My favourite companions are Rory, Amy, River Song and Wilfred Mott. Favourite Alien has to be the Daleks (I adore those dudes!) But I quite like the weeping angels too. I don't really have a collection of anything doctor who themed besides a lot of dalek models and lots of books so I'd adore anything!
