I love eating "ethnic" foods, and I love to cook it as well. I really like to cook authentic, home-made recipes like people would cook on an every day basis, not just for special occasions. For this swap, you will have 3 partners, and you will send each partner 2 different recipes for ethnic cuisine. That's a total of 6 recipes you will need to send out. I'm defining the word ethnic for this purpose as some sort of cuisine you would go to a special restaurant for. I.e. Indian, Mexican, Turkish, Middle Eastern, German, etc. The possibilities are endless. Basically, they can be any sort of food, as long as they're not your average "All American" recipe. Ideally, they would be a recipe that you could cook on a daily basis (think for breakfast or a quick lunch) but if you have a favorite recipe for a special dish, that would be great too. If you have dietary restrictions (i.e. you need recipes that do not include pork or need to be Kosher or Halal, etc.) please include them below. Please check to see if your partner has indicated any restrictions before sending your recipes. The recipes can be computer printed or hand written, but please make sure they are legible. Also, if the recipe uses an unusual measurement, please note that as well (for instance, in some Turkish recipes, a "cup" actually uses a 6 oz tea cup. this would need to be noted on the recipe for those who are used to an 8 oz cup.) Feel free to include a letter telling about the recipe, or even about yourself, although it's not required. Those with more than one no send or a rating below 4 will be dropped from the swap. If you have more than one no send with extenuating circumstances and would like to join please contact me before signing up for possible exceptions. Newbies, feel free to join in, but make sure your profile is completed. This is an international swap. |
