Description: | |
For this swap you're going to send 20 (twenty) lists to your partner. Types of Lists You Can Include: Intentional Lists: Lists that you make specifically for this swap. For example: Ten Most Recent Movies I've Watched, My Favorite Cocktails, Crafts I Want to Try, Strangest Things My Toddler Has Eaten, etc. Ephemeral Lists: Lists that you would normally make and then throw away. This might include: grocery lists, chores, books to check out, things to bring on a picnic, gift ideas, etc. Found Lists: This category includes lists that you find lying on the ground or tucked in an old book. Please note where you found the list. Scavenged Lists: These are pre-made lists that you seek out in your everyday life. They might include: fall fashion colors cut out from a magazine, a school supplies list, book recommendations from your local library, a vaccination list for a country you're planning a trip to, etc. For this category please only include lists that are in some way meaningful to you. Don't collect a bunch of random lists just to meet the quota. Please don't send an introductory letter or anything about yourself other than the lists. Instead, let your lists speak for themselves about your interests, your dreams, the places you go, and the things you find noteworthy. You can think of it as an exercise in 'show, don't tell' or like an alternative penpal letter. With that in mind, make this swap interesting for your partner to read by including a variety of lists. Please don't send 20 grocery lists! Lists may be typed or handwritten. Lists may be written on any type of paper--the back of an envelope, a napkin, a memo sheet, wherever the mood strikes you. If any of your lists are in a non-English language, please provide an English translation so that your partner knows what they say (Exceptions: if your partner knows the language, the list has pictures to show what it is about, or the list is extremely long, like a menu). It is perfectly fine if lists have circles, scribbles, highlights, checkmarks, or notes in the margins; in fact, it might give them more character! It is also fine if your list is a bit rumpled or torn so long as it can still be read (but please, no food stains or other sanitation hazards). If you want to include pictures or sketches to supplement your list, you are welcome to do so. If you want to send more than 20 lists, go for it! Don't forget to include something with your swap-bot name and the swap title! This swap is open to all group members in good standing. You don't need to wait until the deadline to get started on this swap; feel free to start writing or collecting your lists as soon as you sign up.
