I loved this swap when Ginger4520 done it a year ago. I wrote her to ask permission to host this swap. She is away and has not answered my message but I wanted to do it for Halloween. This is her idea and thank you for such a great one. It's been months since the world ended and the zombies have taken over. There is still hope for a cure and survivors are sparse across the world trying to find safety in numbers or on their own. You are one of those survivors. You have hope for a cure and a better tomorrow and you want your memory to live on. Each night you survive this hell, you take down a memory to preserve it, just in case there is no tomorrow. Just in case you don't make it, that it might find it's way into the hands of someone who can use it to survive. This is a month long journal swap. You will go to wal-mart or any store that sells composition notebooks and pick up one. Your notebook should look like it has been through a war. Not all nice and neat. (wrinkled pages, dirty finger prints or corners ripped maybe some red fingernail polish to make blood drips or smires) On the first page tell us who you are: Name: Location: Days Since The Zombie Invasion Started: Date: How many people in your group:
On the second page tell us if you stayed in your home and boarded up or did you go on the move and stay where you find safety or you went to a bug out location or did you find a secure place to take over and stay. Each page after that you will date in order for one month and write 2 or three sentences on how that days survival went. Did you lose someone? Did you eat that day? Did you see any zombies, kill any? Heck it can even be a flash back memory to something before the invasion. Make each entry 2 or 3 sentences Feel free to refer to The Walking Dead for ideas. LOL! This is a creative writing project. Use your imagination and let your thoughts flow. Please keep it to a few sentences for each page so that you don't run out of room for your book. Basically try not to exceed one page for each entry. You may use front and back of one page if you choose. You can also do this swap in a few days if chose to. You can sit down and do your 30 entries in one day or do them over the course of the month. You have one month however to get it done before the mailing date. Example: 10/01/2014 Today we chose to travel by woods as the zombies seem to be wandering around roads with abandoned cars. It took us longer than expected but we didn't lose anyone today. If you put a entry that you went searching for food or water you have to say what you found or you found nothing. Also you will have a map in your journal. You can draw it to show where you hide out is and the routes you go to get water or search for food. Or if you feel real ambitious you can get a city map that shows the streets and map your route and show the houses that you have searched for survival. At the end of 30 days, you will end your book however you see fit. Wrap your journal in brown paper (you can get a brown paper bag from the grocery store) and send it to your partner. In the notebook you will have some extra pages. Feel free to doodle or draw things you miss before the apocalypse started. Do not join if you have the slightest doubt that you will not be able to commit to this. No recent or unexplained 1's or 3's. I reserve the right to remove anyone I find questionable or that does not have a well filled out profile. Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. This is a time consuming swap and I will not be able to angel. When you receive your journal, you should rate your partner with a 5 if: You received your swap within the time limit. The swap contains 30 dated entries and meets the criteria of the swap. |
