If you're a reader of Somerset Life magazine, you've already seen the beautiful handmade magic wands featured in the latest issue. If not, just imagine how creative you could get making your own lovely magical wand! The list of possible materials abounds: paint, ribbons, flowers, feathers, lace, charms, glitter... Let's make our wands really special and pretty for our swap partner...the more "frou-frou" and over the top, the better! Your wand should be made of a sturdy material - a wooden dowel would be perfect and you can pick one up at almost any craft or hardware store - but you can use whatever you like for the base, so long as it's of decent quality. The wand should be, at minimum, 12" in length, but longer is certainly encouraged. Then decorate to your heart's content! Check your partner's profile for her favorite colors and style. She'll be sure to award you a heart if the wand you make for her casts the kind of spells she loves! This swap is for US/Canada only to keep the postage costs to a minimum. Since we will be putting a lot of time and love into our wands, I am limiting the swap to those with a 4.5 or higher rating and no no-sends in the last six months. Newbies are welcome with a filled-out profile; however, I reserve the right to ban anyone who seems questionable or who does not meet the requirements. Now let's get our magic on and have some fun! |
