How does a newbie get to be an oldbie if they're not allowed in a swap? Doesn't seem fair.

user5113 01/12/2007 #

I have a swap going for newbies so they can get ratings so sign up and then you can sign up for this one.

Lunaria 01/13/2007 #

Does the item need to be storebought? Can I pass on something used from my own collection?

user5113 01/13/2007 #

Humm... well I guess if it is gently used it is alright. If you think it is nice enough to send then its ok. Just nothing messed up.

user5796 01/20/2007 #

wait so Newbs cant do this?

LMM 01/22/2007 #

I'm a newbie but by the time this swap closes I hope to be rated....

sleepingrover2010 01/30/2007 #

I want to let you know that I will be sending you a thank you note via snail mail if you are my partner. I will do the rating on the site as soon as I can. Thanks

evacorges 03/ 1/2007 #

can you put the USA only in the title so I don't have to read the whole thing and get excited only to find I needn't have bothered because I live in the wrong country?

craftgeek 03/ 1/2007 #

i love this idea but i am from Canada so i can't join that is no fun

Hello Everyone, This message is for my partner in this swap. I made a list of ten items in the order I would like them. I hope this will help you. I know you will not buy all, just one. But I just wanted to give you many options so you would not have a difficult time finding something.

  1. Three different Doodling Books. I put them in the order I would like them. These were all found on Barnes and Noble's website, but some can also be found in the store.

A. Doodles: A Really Giant Coloring and Doodles Book by Taro Gomi B. Oodles of Doodles by Mike Artell C. Doodle Studio (American Girl Library Series)

  1. Jigsaw Puzzle where after you put it together, you have a list of items to find in the puzzle

  2. Cardmaking Kit--Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Joanna's Craft all carry kits in boxes, at least 25 cards can be made

  3. Scrapbook Kit has all the materials to build one of the following kinds of albums A. Envelope Album B. File Folder Album C. Paper Bag Album

  4. Moleskin Blank Books-I have listed the kinds I would like, one would be fine A. Reporter's Notebook (no lines) B. Watercolor Paper Notebook C. Japanese Notebook

  5. Puzzle Books--I have found some neat ones at Borders in their Bargain section. (I do already own IQ Brain Twister with a red cover, 500 Puzzle Challenge with a blue cover) I would like more like above, but just different colored covers.

  6. Scrapbook Kits--These include an album, paper, embellishments, all you need to complete the scrapbook, usually have a theme--travel, birthday, please no baby, any others are fine)

  7. Variety of Puzzles magazines

  8. Spot the Difference Puzzles (already have the Life Magazine one)

  9. Kakuro Puzzles with varied levels.

Thanks,

Barb sleepingtraveler

Please know that I know I don't expect all on the list or in some cases all that is under one number. I just tried to give you lots of options. I hope that helps.
