So many self help books, studies and tv programs tell us writing down a list of things you are thankful for makes you happier. I've been meaning to do this and usually forget or am too lazy to keep it up. Let's give ourselves a reason to remember the things that make us happy! For this swap take a few minutes every night for seven days and write a list of things you appreciate about the day you've had. List at least 5 things every night. It doesn't need detail or an explanation to the person receiving your list. You can use code if you don't want people to know how thrilled you are by getting some nookie. This is a list for you- having to send it out is the motivation to keep writing every night. Write the date with each entry, start any day you like and keep going for 7 days, that and at least 5 things a night are the only rules. You can use notebook paper, cute stationery, type and print it, on the back of a receipt...whatever. If you want to save your list make a photocopy of it for your partner. Before you send it out, read over your lists for the week. Appreciate all the good things in your life! Mail it with the knowledge that even more wonderfulness is on it's way to you. I would love to make this a weekly swap, we could all get in the gratitude habit and become that much happier!
