Description:

This swap runs at the same time as Page U.

For this swap you take a page from the dictionary (no copies, actual pages), pick a word, and illustrate it. The book page in the above is a nice example, but in this case the illustration must relate to the word and you must highlight the word and the definition. How you make the word stand out is entirely your choice. If you use a dictionary that's not in English, translate the word and the definitions.

Don't just put a sticker/magazine clipping on it and send it out. Put some work into it, make it nice to look at. All materials are A Okay. Don't fold the page when you send it out. Find (or make) an envelope in which it will fit without creasing.

This swap goes from A to Z. For this swap, we continue with the letter T. The page can't be larger than A4 size (210 x 297 mm or 8.3 x 11.7 inches) and can't be smaller than A5 size (148 x 210 mm or 5.8 x 8.3 inches). Give or take a little here and there. Just no A6 and A3 (if you're wondering, check the paper size chart under Metric Names).

When all swaps are done, we'll have our own illustrated (mini-)dictionary; all we have to do is bind it!

(Ratings of 4.8 and up. No recent 1s or 3s, I ban anyone I consider a risk. No unrated swappers.)

Hi ladies, just for in case anyone noticed that I haven't sent my swap off yet despite the fact it was meant to be sent yesterday, I just wanted to explain... We have been experiencing terrible postage strikes here in South Africa. They finally ended and so I excitedly signed up for a few Type 3 swaps. When I went to the post office to mail off my package I was informed that the strike had once again resumed after barely a weeks break. I was told I could courier it for an exorbitant amount but that it's safe arrival could not be guaranteed. Luckily my boyfriends father was visiting from Brussels. So he agreed to take the package home with him and mail it off from Brussels. It should be sent off tomorrow. I will mark my swap as sent as soon as I receive word that it has been posted. And in the meantime... Appreciate your functioning postal services! It seems the postman is now an extinct specimen over here...
