It's that time of year again! Where spooky, and scary will run the show, but also pair with sweet and cute, in a funky fun holiday for all ages! (And let's not forget quirky and weird!) So what's better than Halloween this time of year?! Let's share in our Holiday spirit with this unique twist on the ever popular whimsy swaps! Let's make each other ..... WHIMSY SOCKS!! For this recipe we will need: 1 pair of Halloween themed decorative socks! Many shops have pairs for $1 or less, Target, WalMart, ACMoore, etc. A tube sock would be best to hold all the goodies! 12oz-16oz worth of Whimsy! (About enough to fill a standard size Mason Jar). Whimsy materials include but are certainly not limited to; stickers, sticker flakes, buttons, ribbon, miniature glitter capsules, charms, interesting embellishments, tea bags or coacoa(if partner likes), confetti, tiny toys or figurines, decorative nail polish strips, beads, skeleton keys, small stones, etc. Anything really, as long as it is in good condition and is something you would be proud to send along! 1 profile surprise, sent along with the sock, but not inside! Can be anything you feel your partner will enjoy ^_^ 1 note for your partner, including your name, name of swap, and anything else you would like to write :) Cooking Directions: Carefully fill sock with various whimsy, beginning with smallest whimsy first, then progressively begin to add the medium sized, then large sized whimsy. Package with care, so the included whimsy does not leak from the sock! A ribbon, string, or even a scrunchie should be used to tie the sock at the top, to keep the whimsy batter from pouring over ^_^ Insert completed sock into packing material, bubble wrap mailer or box to keep it nice and safe! Decorate the package by coloring, with stickers, tape or anything! Let's make this a really fun one to put together! Deliver to Post Office and bake for 3-5 business days at room temperature! When swap reaches your home, open carefully and enjoy! |
