Description: | |
I’ve decided to make this swap for Australians only…not that I don’t like the rest of the world, but here’s why and what it’s about… So far 2007 has been a bit gloomy for Australia-land – we’ve had drought, bushfires, and now the power in Victoria was out…the place is falling apart. It’s Australia Day this month, so it’s time to feel good about things! So I thought we could send each other a cheer-up care package, and just do it locally because - a) you can put anything in there without getting hassled by Customs b) I love hooking up with other Australian (local) crafters and swappers c) the postage is much cheaper, and this is going to be a bulky one. So make up a “care package for your partner, please include at least ONE handmade item, whatever your craft may be. Other suggestions – lollies, choccy, ribbon, make a cd, ATCs, stationery, postcards, notecards, jewelry, bag, cosmetics, perfume, etc for your swap partner. The contents of the swap must value at least $25. Remember to check out your partner’s profile to see what they’re into… I'll be starting a flickr account for this group (http://www.flickr.com/groups/aussieswap/), so when you receive your items in the mail, please post photos of it in the group. Please remember, when you receive your package in the mail to let the person who sent it know. Just a little e-mail, comment on their blog or a thank you to let them know you appreciate them coming through and that you received it. And don’t forget to do your swap-bot rating too. And remember swap karma – give what you’d be happy to receive. I’m going to monitor this one quite closely, because I want happy happy swaps! |
