Description:

I'm a bit fond of washi tape. Well, ok, I confess - I'm really downright addicted to this colorful sticky stuff - LOL!) Are you too? I think I like swapping it as much as I like buying it and using it!!

For the cost of just $2.45 (five 49 cent first class stamps), we will send 8 different 12 inch samples of washi tape to 5 partners. I think it is fun to receive tape from multiple people, to see what kinds of tape people collect and to get more to play with, without having to buy a ton more rolls of tape (although some of us would be tempted to do this anyway...LOL!). The cost of this swap is still less than an average roll of washi tape, so it won't break the bank so to speak.

By washi tape, I mean the kind you can easily rip with your fingers, NOT the shiny deco tape that needs to be cut with scissors. It is also NOT for the cheaper tapes you sometimes find at the dollar stores. They call it washi tape, but it really isn't the same. The quality is a harder paper material, and not pliable like regular washi tape. (I have nothing against these type tapes and use them myself sometimes, but I’ve found that they don’t make for good samples because they don’t remove easily when wrapped upon themselves, and sometimes they add a permanent crease at the edge of the card surface, so please do not include them in this swap).

Please make sure your tape is wrapped around something with a plastic coated or shiny surface so it can easily be removed. (Note: I'm finding that with some of the cheaper playing cards (for example, the Dollar Stores ones), the last part of the tape peels up the design on the card. If you choose to use these cards to wrap your tape around, please cover them with packing tape first.

If you use playing cards, after you wrap the tape on each card, lay them side by side and use a little piece of tape to tape the cards together. They'll stay flat for mailing and can easily be mailed for one first class stamp.

Please include your name and swap-bot ID, and don't forget to decorate your mailing envelopes with tape!

I know we're all smack dab in the middle of the holiday preparations, but hopefully some of you will take a little break and come play in my swap. Since the swap is sender's choice, we can all start wrapping our tapes now and be ready to send when partners are assigned. :)

Lastly, please do not send any winter themed holiday tapes.

NOTE: To join, you must have a perfect 5.0 rating with at least a few Type 2 and/or Type 3 swaps completed and rated.
