Zines were made popular during the punk riot grrrl movement in the 90s. They are independent publications that feature art, poems, articles, photos, diatribes, reviews, etc. Simply put, they are like mini-magazines made by one or more people (sometimes a collaboration). They can feature pretty much whatever you want. Typically, the master copy of a zine is photocopied in black and white and then distributed. You can give out your master copy if you don't have photo copying abilities or feel free to photocopy in color or black and white and send the photocopied version to your partner. Please see this link for a run down on one way to fold and put together your zine: ZINE LINK. NOTE: This article uses A3 paper, which is much bigger than regular computer paper! You don't have to fold your zine this way but it is customary. Feel free to put it together as you wish. I just ask that your zine is postcard size or bigger and features 6 pages of content and a front and back cover (8 pages of designing all together). Postcard size is customary. Run down:
