Question: do we send the postcards "as is" or in an envelope? Just wondering, sometimes they get a bit "travelled" looking... thanks, Mary

user5486 02/11/2007 #

You may send them either way. If you are afraid of the post office, then by all means send it in an envelope.

SharonP 02/12/2007 #

Just a word if you should happen to send to me -- I like "traveled looking" postcards, with the stamp and the postmark and those little tracking marks and such. I much prefer postcards as postcards, not as notecards, even (sometimes especially) when they get a little beat up in the process. I see that as part of the art form of sending postcards.

girlzoot 02/14/2007 #

I prefer my postcards sent as postcards as well. Unless your art will be smushed or crushed by the mailing system, then please send it by envelope.

I also prefer postcards sent as postcards when possible. Love that traveled look! ;)

I'll join the list of those who perfer traveled postcards ^^

Oh, good! I'm glad it's time to do this. I LOVE sharing poems with others and can't wait to see what people will send me.

I\'ve just started preparing the post cards. Oddly enough, postcards are pretty much unavailable in my neighborhood, so I\'m having to make them myself. In PhotoShop. It\'s fun, but it\'s taking some time.

Got the coolest postcard from Amelia today. Love the poem as well as the homemade postcard. It was wonderful.

Hi, just wanted to let ribarnica, knitty.prof, serenity rae22, vmlay and kimmie - poetry by postcards sent last Thursday, but we\'ve had real bad weather, and our internet connections have not been very reliable for a few days. I do hope they arrive real SOON!

Last week I received cards from Helen Conway , Rebecca, and SweetSugar. But I didn\'t read them until last night, when I had my cards all ready to send out.

(Rebecca, thanks for the Naomi Shahab Nye poem; I\'ll have to sample more of her stuff.)

Received a darling poem and card from Jack's mom, with a wonderful recipe printed on it also! (Altho I have NO idea where "Olive Country" is, since there's no return address, hahaha) - thanks for the nice stamp also. Thanks, so much, I liked the added little cute stickers too! Mary

Man! I just realized I did not put my swapbot username on any of my cards. If you got a card from "Michaele," please let me know.

Marie! 'The Victor' is going on my board at work so I will be reminded that "it's all in the state of mind." Great choice! Thanks, Wilma.

today received such a thoughtful poem from pickle - and wow, I love the Canadian Rockies pc - they are so beautiful! I just might start quoting this poem, in fact - "Live with intention, walk to the edge, listen hard..."

have a great week, MaryB
