Let's have some artsy fun with our washi tape. We will be weaving it and making a note card for our partner. I made the one shown above. You can do something similar or come up with your own design. Here's a link to help you get started: washi weaving tutorial It's not hard, just go slow and make sure to use a paper that you can easily peel the washi up from as you weave it. Also, if you wrap the edges of your tape around to the back, rather than cutting them flush and then add a background layer, it will help the "less stickier" tapes stay put and not peel up. The card will be for your partner to enjoy, so please write a nice note inside the note card. Perhaps you will tell about your day or about your washi weaving adventures. Sender's choice on colors and design. One thing to keep in mind is that if you choose heavy designs, the weave won't stand out as much. The tutorial shows one pattern and a solid. I used two subtle patterns and it worked fine. Please decorate the front of your mailing envelope with tape.
