Description: | |
This is a resurrection and duplication of the Writer’s Journal #1 swap that had been posted at The Imaginative Writers Guild group. This is for those who were in the swap and want to complete the journal process and for those who are interested in a writer's journal. This is a USA swap. An international version can be posted upon request. Snail mail. USA. Group membership The language below (swap description) is from the original swap created by @kimblee She's a member here and I sent her a note letting her know I was posting this. Writer's JournalStep One: Go buy a journal. Preferably a lightweight one since its going to be sent back and forth a lot. Step Two: On the first page (or inside the front cover) write "Send me home to:" and your name and address. When the journal is full hopefully it will come home to you. Step Three: flip five pages in (Because those pages will hold swapper's addresses) and then start writing. Offer challenges, inspiring quotes, maybe even paste in some pictures (or draw if you are artistic), tips you like for improving your work, etc. When you feel your journal has enough (two page minimum but you can write more) send it off to your partner. Step Four: Receive a journal (hopefully) with useful things to help you as a writer. Write your name and address in the journal if you'd like the next writer to have an option to use you as a penpal, if not just sign your name and the date. Write the above (challenges, inspiration, pictures, tips) in a few pages and wait for the next swap to send it to its next temporary home. NOTE: If you receive a journal and have no intention to pass it on, please send it home so its owner can keep it or find someone else to send it to. Thank you. |
