Description:

We've all heard them before, those little bits of wisdom that are not true (or are they?) Here's a few examples:

You never walk with one shoe on and one shoe off.

You put your right sock on first, then your left. Then you put your right shoe on then your left.

Never walk under a ladder.

Cross the sky with your right hand when a black cat crosses your path. (i have a black cat, too!)

If a bird flies into your house it's a sign of death.

Don't spill the salt. If you do, throw a pinch over your left shoulder.

Getting out of bed left foot first. Breaking a mirror.

Do not ever open an umbrella indoors!!!

Don't step on sidewalk cracks

Crossed knives are bad luck.

Rain during a wedding is bad luck.

Never close a pocketknife if someone else opens it.

If you need help finding one, here is a database online you can search for those perfect supperstitions: http://www.oldsuperstitions.com/

For this swap you will have 2 partners. For each partner you will create 2 ATC's (or a total of 4) depicting your interpretation of a superstition of your choice. The ATC's can be all the same or all different but MUST be originals (no copies), standard size, and quality work.

No Bad Swappers. You must not have any no sends within the last 6 months. You cannot have any ratings below 4.5. Newbies welcome with a fully complete profile.

I think this is going to be a fun theme. If you have any questions, send me a message.

Oh, and this will be international.

Oooh, this will be so much fun, my mum pretty much bought me up on superstitions and crazy old-wives-tales. I was sure she made them up until the internet came along and I found out other people said them too!

I remember the "step on a crack, break your mother's back" and I diligently avoided cracks when I was a kid.
