You will make a 9-pocket pocket letter for your partner incorporating 5 of the 15 listed items. If one of the items is "bird" - you are free to make a bird card, add a bird die-cut or punch, use a bird rubber stamp, find a bird quote, include bird-shaped paperclips, buttons or ribbon. The items are broad ideas and it is up to you the maker to take the idea and use it in your letter in your preferred style. Some of you are so clever that you will read the list of items and immediately find a common theme or idea to make a cohesive pocket letter. Some of us will not, but rather than make a hodgepodge, try to choose one element (color, media, or pattern) to make a pleasing array for your partner. This is artist's choice so the receiver needs to be up for whatever they receive. If you hate pink, and the pocket letter you receive is mainly pink with pink accents and colors, that is the maker's choice. You do not have to fill each of the 9 pockets with goodies but it is customary to include a short note, a packet of tea and some washi tape or stickers. It is up to the maker if they fill each pocket with goodies. The items:
