Description: | |
I have taken a long break from hosting "3 Technique" swaps but I would like to try to get some started again. I think we all tend to fall into a rut of doing things the comfortable way -- this is to encourage a bit of exploration with different media. You must use at least three different tecniques when you create your ATC. This swap's theme is "Summer Insect". We probably all have a summertime favorite -- dragonflies, cicadas, ladybugs, monarchs, lightening bugs, June bugs, praying mantis, luna moths, hummingbird moth, swallowtail butterfly --- you get the idea. If you want to go over to the dark side there are aphids, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, earwigs, cabbage moths, etc. Pick an insect you will enjoy exploring and portraying. Examples of some of the techniques you can try on your ATCs include: Hand painting or Illustration, Stamping, Embossing, Masking, Resist, Collage, Mosaic, Digital Hybrid, Hand-carved prints, Metal or Fabric Crafting. Swap Requirements: One ATC to each of two partners (2 ATCs total) Subject: Summer Insect (you might have noticed that all of my examples are summer insects from the mid-west USA. Certainly feel free to share a summer insect from your neck of the woods). You must use at least three different techniques to create your ATC. Please add a note to your partner listing or describing the techniques that you used. |
