I haven't seen many zine swaps, so I thought we could start with a fun and simple zine. You will have three partners but will create ONE zine- you can copy your zine (and I suggest you keep the original for yourself) This will be simple to create and copy- the most work will be creating the content that goes inside. INTRO: For this zine, you will create a single page, 8 sided zine, introducing a character(s) of yourself, a tv series, movie, any character that you would like to describe. It can even be characters you create, the point is to introduce them, describe them, list their likes, dislikes, ect. Copy and search this link to learn how to make a simple zine book. All you need are scissors and a piece of paper, very simple: http://www.rookiemag.com/2012/05/how-to-make-a-zine/ If that was hard to follow, try this site: http://experimentwithnature.com/03-found/experiment-with-paper-how-to-make-a-one-page-zine/#.ValE5PlViko If you are unsure how to start or have never done a zine before, I encourage you to look at examples! You can use a variety of materials, from cut outs, die cuts, or even drawing and writing the whole thing. A good model to follow would be one that looks like this:http://bethleintz.typepad.com/gathering_dust/e-zines-classes/ (just remember to jazz it up with some visuals- that makes content a little more interesting) REQUIREMENTS: This is a time consuming swap I don't want swappers to be disappointed. Your ratings must be a 4.8 or higher. Newbies allowed with filled out profiles. ***Remember to add your swap bot information and the title of the swap in your envelope. If anything is unclear please let me know. Have fun creating your characters! |
