Description:

This swap is for members of a military family to be able to share our experiences with. You could be a wife, husband, child, parent, or even the service member yourself! I don't care if your family is Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, or Coasties (and if you're offended by "coastie", feel free to write about that in your letter! :D ). Active, Reserve, Guard, or even retired, it doesn't matter! Some families live on base, some live hundreds of miles from the nearest base, and some live on overseas bases. Life is different for all of us.

I will assign two partners for each of us, and you should write a letter to your partner explaining what life is like for you and your family. Do you have any funny stories from basic training? Any interesting stories about being moved across country (or out of country)? How about ways you and your family deal with deployments? Be sure to make your letter at least two pages long (one if typed), and you'll have two weeks to write them. Newbies will be allowed with a well filled-out profile. I'll be checking! Flaking is not cool, guys, but I will angel if necessary.

This swap will also be international, because America isn't the only country with a military. It would be amazing to hear about the lives of military families from other countries!

My one rule is ABSOLUTELY NO RUDENESS! It's rampant in the military community to put others down due to ridiculous things like your spouse's rank or thinking one branch is better than the other or saying active is better than guard. We must support each other and not tear one another down. Rudeness will NOT BE TOLERATED. Light-hearted ribbing is okay (see my "coasties" jab), but rudeness is a different animal altogether and is seriously uncool.

Other than that, happy campers all around! :)
