Description:

The Wacky Days PC swap is a take on the wacky, strange, bizarre holidays swaps, but with postcards. Send your one partner a postcard that fits one of the themes for the week. It is GOOD to be creative: this is for fun!

Week 39 is Monday, Sept. 21st through Sunday, Sept. 27th. Here is a list of Wacky Days:

21 International Peace Day

21 Miniature Golf Day

21 World Gratitude Day

22 Business Women's Day

22 Elephant Appreciation Day

23 Checkers Day

23 Dog in Politics Day

23 Eid-Ul-Adha

24 National Cherries Jubilee Day

25 National Comic Book Day

25 Native American Day - fourth Friday of the month

26 International Rabbit Day - Fourth Saturday in September

26 Johnny Appleseed Day

27 Crush a Can Day

Not sure what some of these holidays are? Click on the link below and there are clicky links on that website that describes the holiday!

  • one partner, one postcard, naked & written with a nice note and reminds your partner of which day from the list your card represents; it is okay to be a little silly or off-beat with the connection! This is for fun-some of these are strange!

  • all types of postcards acceptable except handmade and free/ad

  • 4.95 rating minimum and international. No 3's in the past 3 months & no 1's in 2015. All 1's should be addressed and in the process of being made up, etc. I will remove participants if needed and I do check profiles during sign up and before assigning partners. I will angel if needed after you've contacted your partner and had to rate them a 1. Contact me if this happens or is happening, if needed.

The list of wacky days I will use consistently is September Holiday so please feel free to browse future weeks for possible postcards to use from your stash. The website does list some normal holidays too, I will include them since I am using that list, but I encourage you to find the wackiest one from your stash each week.

You should rate your partner at least a 5 if they sent on time, and mentioned the wacky day and how it relates to the card. Please remember this is wacky and it is more than okay to be silly with the theme and stretch a bit and think outside the box!! If you only think inside the box this might not be the swap for you!

Is this week impossible? No way! Gratitude Day - pick a nice pc and write about something or someone you appreciate!

I have a card from a special store but it wasn't free, it cost $1.00. It does have the stores name and address on it, but again it wasn't free. This particular card would be perfect for one of these holidays but I'd hate to get a bad rating because the store's name is on the card. What do you think? What does everyone consider a free/ad card?

@kvwanderlost I personally would take your word for it that you bought it. I, too, have bought PCS from stores that look like they should be free ad cards but the store sells them.

But others that participate a lot should weigh-in, too, with their opinion.

note per question I received in a PM "all types of postcards acceptable except handmade and free/ad" means that Zazzle, and the like, are okay, vintage are okay, pcs from postcard sets and books (neatly perforated please) are all okay cards

Thanks so much Emily for your thoughts on this. I did find something else to use, I think I'll save that other PC for someone that I'm sure will appreciate it :)
