Can't draw or paint? Then this is the swap for you (and me)!

To make a paint blot, you drip or 'plop' small amounts of paint (any paint you like - acrylic craft paint from the dollar store works just fine) onto card stock or similar weight paper, then fold in half and mash. Then open your paper and see what you have.

When your paper is folded, you can mash it squarely or use your fingers to push out from the middle or from side to side.

Depending on which way you do it, and the amount of paint used, your finished blot can turn out all kinds of different ways. Just don't paint it on, trying to make something in particular - that rarely works well, and that is not a true paint blot.

Please use at least 2 colours.

Make your paint blots, let them dry, cut them out (or not), and give them a proper backing for normal PC sturdiness.

Optional: You may add other details using ink, sharpies, glitter, etc. if you wish.

ALSO, on the front of your PC, add a caption of some kind - silly, serious, funny, wry, whatever you like - that relates in some way to the image you have created.

On the back, tell your partner about your experience making the PC.

You may make your PC any size you like as long as it can be sent naked in the mail (not in an envelope).

PLEASE NOTE:

I check profiles carefully before assigning partners.

To be in this swap, you must have:
- A well filled out profile, with some mention of colour preferences.
AND
- Logged onto Swap-bot September 24 or later.

I will angel this swap as long as you have tried to resolve the situation with your partner and have had no choice but to rate them a 1.

Since I do not check my swaps daily, please pm me if you have any questions. Thx.

Have fun! (";)

This looks like a fun swap but at the moment I just can't join. But later, like next Jan or Feb, I could think about it so maybe you could do another swap then. Thanks for posting it tho as it gives me a chance to see what maybe I could try. I've never been very artistic so I am not sure about signing up for stuff like this. Chris crispycritter

I will see what I can do in the new year.

I am not artistic either. But I have found that, by trying easy techniques like this one with detailed instructions (and there are tons online - look for "art techniques for children"), I was capable of producing eye pleasing art. Who knew? lol

The experienced artists here are very kind, and if you let them know that something you have made for them is a first or early attempt, they appreciate the effort. Of course, this is a given for NH and Newbie/Beginner swaps. (";)
