Description:

This is my first time hosting a swap, so wish me luck!

This swap is for those interested in hand-made stationary, particularly envelopes. Swappers will make 5 (FIVE) hand made envelopes to send to their partner. Envelopes can be made from recycled material, patterned paper, etc... whatever you want them to be made out of! But they MUST be hand made. Size is of no importance, but I'd prefer that you send all 5 envelopes of the same size. You will mail the 5 envelopes along with a description of them to your assigned partner. DO NOT POSTMARK THE HANDMADE ENVELOPES! rather send them all together in a shipping envelope. This can be an international swap. Newbies, and people with a rating of 4.5 or higher, are welcome. Any confusion or questions? contact me and i'll be happy to help you out! :)

for the description part, are we supposed to describe how we made the envelopes?

chloecrossland 08/31/2008 #

if you wanna. it would probably be a good idea if you do something fancy. if not, you don't really need to.

Just curious, why do all the envelopes need to be the same size?

chloecrossland 09/13/2008 #

they don't HAVE to be all the same size. i just thought it'd be nice if they were, like a little set or something. it's not required though.

I once got a set of handmade envelopes in a similar swap that were all 1" wide--not very useful.

Are these supposed to be usable for mailing? They'd have to be at least notecard size (4 3/8" x 5 3/4").

chloecrossland 09/14/2008 #

good point. yes, a suitable mailing size is preferred.

mapps - Your envelopes are being mailed out today and coming to you from Raleigh, NC. You should get them early next week. I hope you like them!

Thanks JWJW2 I will look out for them.
