Turn something you find at a thrift store, yard sale, estate sale etc. into a fabulous Christmas decoration that your partner will love. Use your bargain hunting skills to find something to alter/up-cycle and then put your artistic and crafting abilities to work to transform the item into something worthy of display for years to come. What you choose to make is up to you, but please check profiles for inspiration. The idea here is to make your partner happy and to have fun in the process! Here are just a few ideas that come to mind, but really just about anything can be altered and made into something awesome. How about a vintage serving spoon, a cigar box, a doll, a candle stick, a piece of jewelry, a baby shoe, a pretty tea cup, a small glass bottle, a place mat, an antique doily...??? Making only a Christmas tree ornament is not enough for this swap. You can make an ornament but if you do, you must include another small altered item. Otherwise, one item will be sufficient for this swap. So get out there and do some thrift shopping and then come home and do some crafting - enjoy! |
