Description:

In this swap you will be making or buying a sock monkey. Sock monkey's are fairly easy to make project, and pretty cheap. I can make one for under $5 and they aren't heavy so I think they should be cheap enough to do an international swap. Start to finish they take about an hour if it's your first time.

This is Halloween themed so look for socks that have appropriate colors and decorations! Also, because this is a themed swap please make sure that you will be able to get it out on time.

Don't worry if the monkey isn't perfect, the "flaws" are what gives them personality!

If you want to make your own check out these sites: http://www.craftbits.com/viewProject.do?projectID=1104 http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Sock-Monkey

If you would prefer to buy them, then you can check out Etsy stores or google other makers!

You can start working on your monkey now, or wait to tailor it to your partner's profile!

Newbies are welcome, no-one with a rating under 4.7, and I will ban anyone with a no-send if they do not contact me first!

If you have trouble finding socks that are themed (Target and Walmart both have some, but I don't know for how long) you can always add clothes to a sock monkey to make it look Halloweenish.

This looks like a lot of fun. I got a pair of socks at Target today--time to start sewing!
