Description:

Some people get blank Christmas cards in the mail from charities, foundations, organizations, that they did not buy.

These cards may not qualify for the S-B swaps that want "hand-made or store-bought only" Christmas cards.

So - For those that would like to exchange these freebie cards that come from one charity or another - I create this swap.

Three Partners - Send One Christmas card to each.

(These are cards, not postcards)

Sign it and be sure to enclose a little note saying what swap this is, and, your S-B name.

Senders Choice.

Merry Christmas :-)

You know... I never quite thought about the charity ones not being store bought! I hope I haven't sent some out mistakenly... I guess because I tend to buy them at thrift stores, I think of them as "store bought."

Oops.

Well, I wasn't sure if they are, or, not, considered "store-bought" ... So, I created this swap, just to make sure ... But, now that I'm thinking about it - Maybe "store-bought" just means not hand-made... Errgh,.. I tend to over-think... lol...

I'm not American, but it's said many people discard these cards. I buy Christmas cards in thrift stores, but the boxed ones. Ones donated that are charity cards can also be sent as "store bought" if you actually purchase them to the charities. I discard some of the charity cardsI receive in the mail and might keep the envelopes and avoid them in the thrift stores. I will donate to the charities that I want to. It is overwhelming with so many charities that send you their cards. Sometimes you get the same cards from different charities!

This is a good idea as a swap, but please don't consider charity cards garbage. Some are not. Have fun with this swap!

Yeah, that's so true... Thanks for your input, @HelenG6 ! Merry Christmas to you :-)

I don't think I've ever gotten free cards from charities. I always get free address labels.
