52 Weeks of Handmade Postcards Week 1 - Rubber Stamped Make a postcard for your partner using rubber stamps. Each postcard should be made on water color, Bristol paper or card stock for sturdiness. The standard American size for post cards is: "To qualify for mailing at the First-Class Mail postcard price, it must be: Rectangular. At least 3-1/2 inches high x 5 inches long x 0.007 inch thick. No more than 4-1/4 inches high x 6 inches long x 0.016 inches thick." (from USPS) If you make a larger post card, you may have to pay more postage. I started a Google+ group for us to share our art and chat about mail art. Please join! https://plus.google.com/communities/106708489843321912190 |
