Description:

I love all the Christmas cards that I received and hate to discard them. Let’s keep the Christmas spirit going through 2016! Let’s recycle those Christmas cards! I will be hosting a series of postcard swaps. Recycle a Christmas card into a postcard. Make the postcard 4” X 6”. The subject does not have to be the main theme, but must appear somewhere on the postcard. Below is a list of subjects for each week. If you have a Christmas card that doesn’t fit this list or think of another subject, please let me know and I will add it to the list. Wouldn’t is be great to have one for the whole year. Don’t discard those Christmas cards!

You do not have to participate in all of the swaps. Choose the ones that you have the Christmas card to match.

This 1st swap is a Senders' Choice. Choose a Christmas card and make it into a postcard. Anyone is welcome to join. 1. Sender's Choice 2. Angel 3 .Animal not cat or dog 4. How do we sign up for repeats? Do you re-post this every week and we just look for it & manually sign up, or is there some automatic method?

PS: You wrote "coice" in the subject line. I C&P them to notes, so I noticed. That's OK though. Standardised spelling is only a suggestion. ;)

Thanks for letting me know. I will post each one separately.

On #28 there is not a description, does that mean it's senders choice? Also #29 says snowperson, what do you mean by that? Is it a snowman?

Does it have to be exactly 4x6 (10x15 cm) or is that just a rough guideline?

papercaper 01/10/2016 #

@pandakitty & @pne I hope that's just a rough guide because one of mine is square. With scalloped edges! (Trust me, it totally works.)

Naked (written on and mailed) or in an envelope and not written on or...? Please clarify

I'm also wondering about the 4x6 note. Most of my cards are 5x7 and run the risk of losing some of their beauty upon being trimmed down (though I'll do so if needed)

Perhaps we can message our partners to ask whether they insist on 4x6 or whether they are happy to receive cards that are not exactly that size.

May I join PLEASE? I'm part of most of these swaps. I thought I signed up for this and waiting for partners. I will be on holiday most of February, so will miss some. Can you add me in somehow?

HelenG6 01/13/2016 #

I've been part of these swaps for awhile. If something is going to be cut off in a post card, then don't send it, or cut the card accordingly. I find 4 x 6-inch cards the standard. I usually get larger sizes when I've received the post card, but trim them down and rate accordingly.
