Hello all! Welcome to the very first Clay Nation group swap! This Theme swap is for the first house or building that you would imagine would be in a tiny gnome village. This will be ongoing over the months,so that we can create and collect enough to make a small town eventually . Kind of along the idea of those holiday porcelain villages that you see often on display at retail stores during wintertime, only smaller & fit for a gnome ! For this swap lets try to keep our houses/buildings around the same size so that when we put them together none will look odd or like it doesnt belong. About 1 1/2 inch 2 inch maximum height (approximatly -no worries if its a bit over but please try not to go under 1 inch.) The first for our village will be a Gnome or house where you imagine they would live. I figure that we can build out from there, but the little guy will need a place to stay in the meantime ! You can find ideas by doing a Google search and you can make it as elaborate or as basic as you wish,as long as it is 1) 3D not flat 2) follows size 1 & 1/2 inch to 2 inch max 3) must have roof and front door 4) please no eyepins or hooks All of the houses /buildings for this theme will have those requirements to look as if they go together. Any color you choose is okay, and if you would like to incorporate things such as pinecones, and other found objects thats perfectly fine,as well as beads, sequins, ect. glaze is not mandatory either. I hope that you are as excited to make this as I am! Any ideas for Gnome buildings please visit our forum and post ideas there. Hopefully I can build a longer list of upcoming houses on our group main page so that if you choose to work on them early you will be able to. Any questions feel free to ask! pic is a google image used as example all rights go to the respective owner |
