Description:

Once upon a time there was a swap, called Starter atc.. the host is suspended and will be welcomed back, as she was a good swapper. I am still holding cards from round 1 and 2. If you are also holding cards you can send these along with new cards, or you can just mail the ones you have been holding, your choice. So keep in mind you might get 4 cards. A new set, and a lost forgotten held set from the discontinued swap. If this is your first time, you may start 2 new cards.

This should not take a lot of planning to start nor mail, as you probably have some cards lying around that you started and couldnt find a path to make it into someone you wanted to send or save, as art.

The basic idea is that you start 2 cards, that maybe you just dont know where to go next, art-wise. You put your mailing info on the back on the very top. Leave spaces on the back for a number of people (3-5) to sign after they contribute to the art on the front,

You mail the 2 cards off to your assigned partner. They add something to the cards. They add their swapbot nickname, and any other info on the back of the card.

Once the back of the card is full the 2 cards need to be returned to the cards owner/starter. Write small if you want to get more players to work on your cards. Once it is full you do need to mail them home.

You will always mail your worked on cards to the person you were assigned to. Unless that person gets suspended, then we will work out a private swap. Please work on the cards and mail them off withing 2 weeks. I may reserve the right to repost this swap to keep the cards moving and prevent flaking.

You will only get rated for the first send. But we should all be trusted friends. I will remove questionable swappers. This swap can not be angel-ed, as there is no way to recreate your original cards. I will work with you if you get flaked on.

Won't you get rated for each stage of swapping? ie when you forward in the next round?

You can only rate the person who sends you the swap once. The first time you get an envelope of cards. Setting up a private swap for future rounds has some advantages, such as accountability. BUT the person you are sending to is not sending to you, so the swap it lopsided with a private swap

I've always wanted to do a "round-robin" type swap. This sounds similar.

I don't fully understand how you're only rated for the first send. I know this round you'd be rated once but then if you participate in the next round you get rated on that one so I guess to me it seems like you get rated every time as long as you keep participating?

There wont be another round. Pretend we are all in the same room sitting is a circle. I work on some cards and hand them to the next person. This is the person I send to. When I got card from the person I rate, I will again send them on to the person I send to. If I do another swap, then the BOT might assign someone to send your cards right back to you. Get it. This way it is like we are in a circle in the same room. Just keep moving the cards to the same person and your cards will come back to you.

OK, if I understand it correctly, when I receive atcs I add to them and I keep sending each next set to the one address for this round?

Yes, keep mailing to the same person and you will get yours back after all of work on them.
