I'm a new Graduate Teacher and for my first class today I had to give my 20 college freshman a 30 minute essay asking them what they think about writing. After reading 20 papers, I feel I know my students better and can thus alter the class a bit to include more of their interests, but then I started thinking that it might be interesting to read the responses of a more diverse group- not only for difference in perspective, but also difference in writing style. So, here we have a fun, fast and cheap swap! It's US Only because of the above reason- with my Graduate schedule, I don't have time to run to the post office, and I'm broke! I want a quick turn around so I can still retain some memory of what my students wrote as well. Here's the prompt: Of all the kinds of writing that you have done, either in a classroom setting or outside class, what kind of writing have you enjoyed the most? Why? What has this kind of writing taught you about writing in general? Naturally, you don't need to take 30 minutes to reply! Everyone will send to 2 partners, and I will angel for anyone who doesn't get theirs. Anyone is welcome to join- those just starting out on Swap-bot, or those who had a rough patch and need to get their ratings back up. (This is clearly because it's so easy for me to angel!) So feel free to sign up! Cheers! |
