Want to get a local or a partial local's perspective of where they're living? Want to know a local's personal recommendation on where to visit or see? Want to know their "hidden treasure" that's only known by locals? Do you have any plans to head to a place that you wanted to go, but you're afraid that your internet research might be misleading or confusing? Do you know what local delicacy or dish are there and want to let people know what they are? If you've answered yes to any of these questions, here's your chance to get some of those questions answered! Who knows? You might make a new friend or even be their potential "tour" guide when they come to town someday! For this swap, you're going to send 1 card each to 4 partners (1*4=4). It's a touristy card swap, so you must have the name of the place, state, region, landmark, road, or body of water somewhere on the card. Make sure you write your S-B name and name of this swap on the card. When writing the swap name, please specify if it's local or not. Cards must be fully written and stamped. No meters please. If you're sending a local card, please write at least a short statement/question on these given:
Feel free to incorporate your ideas when you write, and you can always blend your messages with other non-touristy topics such as your favorite book, movie, etc.). Make sure that you mention one of these topics (can be a sentence long) above and have a touristy theme on the front to get a 5 rating. Hearts are at a user's discretion. Don't forget to check a user's profile on their preferences, likes, and dislikes! Cards must be store-bought unless they are handmade by a local craftsman emphasizing on themes relevant to your place's tradition/culture. 👉If it happens that you don't have or want to send a local card, cards showing your vacation spots, partial/former residences, nearby non-local cities/states, and your birthplaces are fine in a situational basis. You must write any significances you have in those places and/or why you chose that very location. If you at least explain a significance very briefly, you'll get a 5. Again, hearts are at a user's discretion. Suburbs, as a collective, count as local. For example, if one lives in a place near a state/country border or a larger place, but they don't have cards of their place, they are able to send a card showing a nearby state or place. Cards should be sent naked, but if its texture seems fragile or someone highly prefers it, you can send with an envie. Users from 50 states including DC (where is the love for DC?) are able to participate in this swap. Newbies are welcome if profiles are filled out sufficiently. I will look into them. Please don't have any recently unexplained 1s or 3s in your profile. I have the right to ban questionable swappers at my discretion. I'll angel when needed. I don't tolerate flakers, drama, and non-raters in my swaps. Got questions or concerns? PM me when you're in doubt on what to send, got flaked on, and other questions you have to ask me about this. TL;DR
Good luck and have fun! |
