Recently I participated in a swap hosted by @scraphappygabi for decorated wood block houses. It was my first foray into these, and I'm completely hooked now! For this swap we will be making for our partner one wood block house. Your wood black can be any size above 2x4x4 (two inches deep, by four inches wide and four inches tall) but shipping could get quite pricey if you go too large, so my recommendation is to stay below 7 inches high. I've also seen hollow bird houses used as the base block, which is fine, as long as you cover the openings. Your house should be decorated all the way around, but it's fine to focus mainly on what will be the "front" and merely cover the sides and back with paper, or paint, or whatever media you choose. You may use any color scheme, theme, and media on the house...it is completely senders choice, so feel free to get started as soon as you sign up. Need some inspiration? Here are a few links to some examples... As always, if you have questions or concerns, please direct them to me via pm. Thanks! |
