Description:

For this swap you will create 4 altered puzzle pieces for your partner. Why, what IS an altered puzzle piece, you ask? Well, have a look at these examples:

Example 3

Holy Wowsers!

I personally like to sand mine slightly, then I either cover them with paper or I brush a coat of thinned white craft paint over them. Once my "base" layer is done, I add collage, images, stamps, hand drawing, and fun embellishments.

The puzzle piece should be roughly 2 inches by 2 inches...the size that comes in a childrens puzzle that is about 24 pieces at Dollar tree. You can alter your piece in any way you see fit, whether that's through paint, collage, or other means.

In short: Alter 4 appropriately sized puzzle pieces, and mail to your partner.

As always any questions can be directed to me via private message, and I'm always happy to angel if needed

Those are lovely...how do you do display them?

Should we magnetize them?

Oh Rye, that is a lovely idea. At least the ones we receive we could turn into magnets. :)

Oh....I can't resist joining this one. It's been ages since I've done altered puzzle pieces. I have a small box of large puzzle pieces from a child's puzzle that I picked up at a thrift store ages ago. :-)

I think adding magnets is a great idea, but I'd like to see these mailed without magnets so that each person can choose. Thus far, I have placed the ones I've made to keep, and ones I e received in swaps in a binder like my atcs
