Description:

For this swap let's play the accordion. Because I'm not really musical, I'm going to just keep playing with paper. Create a collage with summer theme and incorporate an accordion fold into your piece.

If you can work out a way to send this piece naked, more power to you otherwise you're free to pop it in an envelope. There are no size limits so this could be 3 ATCs linked together into an accordion fold, a postcard, a journal page, whatever. Your accordion piece could be a little book telling a story or a work of art that unfolds to reveal a larger picture. Let your imagination run wild with this one.

Please don't send sticker slapped, rushed stuff. Take your time, be artistic and make a nice piece. You may use collage, drawing, painting, stenciling, stamping or a combination of some or all of these.

To incorporate an accordion fold into a collage, you can have the main piece fold one like this: example

or you can have a "pop up" element on top of your accordion fold similar to this: example

Here is an example of altered playing cards turned into an accordion fold book by StephieD

Please feel free to share questions or ideas in the comments below.

Be sure to include the name of the swap and your name so your partner doesn't have to search high and low to rate you.

You can use home-made or commercial envelopes and make a pocket book, to add photos and keepsakes to. You just set 3-5 envelopes in a row, and glue the flap of one envelope to the bottom of the one next to it, so it makes a row of pockets. Then decorate. Hugs from Alaska, Sherry
