Description:

It's that time of the year when we start planning ahead our Christmas. We all know how long international mail can take, so I decided to get started with this swap ASAP, since the idea is for all of us to get our tea advent calendars before December 1st.

Here's the rules:

  • Send a tea advent calendar (store-bought or handmade). I believe tea advent calendars are not so easy to find everywhere in the world, so I'm guessing most of us will be making our own calendars. Please try to be creative and put your heart into this swap. You can use any technique you want, pocket letters, a string with 25 teabags hanging, a wreath, anything you want, just make sure it's something you'd like to receive yourself.

  • You have to send 24 teabags for your swap partner to open during each day on the countdown to Christmas (from December 1st to the 24th). They all have to be concealed somehow, so put them inside cute envelopes, paper wrapping, anything you want, but make sure all teas are a surprise for your partner. Ideally, send 24 different flavors, if that's not possible, then repeat teabags twice. So it should be at least 12 different flavors (sender's choice). You can arrange your teabags in any order you'd like.

  • Include a small profile based gift for your partner to open on Christmas (2.00 USD).

  • Add a Christmas card (store-bought or handmade) with your Christmas greetings and don't forget to add your username and swap name so your partner can rate you.

Make sure your envie looks super cute and it's safely packed. It needs to arrive in perfect conditions and hopefully before December starts. You can decorate your envelope/box, this is optional but a little something never hurts.

Requirements:

No newbies. Only people with a 4.95 rating, you must have at least 30 rated type 3 swaps, I will be looking at hearts and comments, I want to make sure all participants have experience in high creativity swaps. You must have logged in in the past 2 days before I assign partners and please, rate promptly, keep an eye on your own envies and don't forget to keep me updated if anything were to happen.

It would be very nice if you could not only rate your partner once you receive the envie, but also updating the rating once you've tried the teas and opened the Christmas present. This is just a suggestion of course, but I personally love it when people do that.

If you have any comments or questions, feel free to contact me or leave a comment in this swap.

Happy swapping everyone!

Can all tea bags be simply wrapped into paper and put numbers on them?

If the whole thing looks pretty and it's something you think will make your partner happy, then yes! The idea is not to simply conceal the teabags and call it a day, as the swap description says, you have to put your heart into this.

It doesn't matter how you make your tea advent calendar, as long as it's something you would like to receive yourself :)

Camila, you come up with the most unique and fun swaps! <3

It was meant to be that I join this swap; the pic you used as an example is from DavidsTEA, a Canadian company, and the only tea advent I've received in the past was one of theirs. :D

David's sells little packets of individual servings of their teas, but they're loose. Would a few of those be okay to include in my advent calendar if I also include an empty tea bag too (Davids sells those too)? If my partner is okay with it?

Oh wow! I had no idea about it, but yes, I also think it was meant to be hehe. Glad to have you in the swap!!

I think if your partner is ok with it, it shouldn't be a problem, as long as we all have tea to drink on our countdown to Christmas, everything will be ok hehe. Welcome to the swap! :)

I moved the deadline to the 11th because I hadn't realized it was Colombus Day in Chile and Thanksgiving in Canada, hope this is helpful :)
